Lumix FZ38 icons released

The icons can be found here.
This deviation has been edited so you can see the icon design process.

WIP5 : Lumix FZ38

Slight modifications, improved the texture use...Please let me know what you think of this new version.
I hope my updating this preview several times does not get you on the nerve.

WIP4 : Lumix FZ38

Every part is done now, it just needs improvments there and there...

WIP3 : Lumix FZ38

Well, I had to rework from scratch, lost the source file...(what a noob I am)
I finally used only one gradient for the main part of the flash, whereas I was planning to use 3.
Also, there are 2 previews, one showing the scalable vector version, while the other one shows how it would look if using bitmap textures...
Nothing done for the lens yet, still wondering how to properly do it.

WIP2 : Lumix FZ38

I started to work on the lens...it looks awful.
I think I should add a color to the grip's gradient, to make the thing look a bit more rounded.
I better finish the writings and the flash before coming back to the lens...I need to get some other icons to look how they do it...If anyone is skilled in making lenses, advises would be appreciated.

WIP : Lumix FZ38

Another icon in progress, using Inkscape. For now, it's full vector, there are 2 blurred objects, the rest is exclusively done with gradients.
There are some things bothering me :
- I still don't know how I'll do the hand grip texture, actually I don't know whether I'll do it, because I don't want to use pixmap patterns, I'd like to make a total vector icon.
- I have not really thought about it yet, but the lens is gonna be quite complicated, does Inkscape provide some filters or equivalents to make a linear gradient go circular ? I know I could draw each color-section separatly, then blur a little, and us them as patterns, but this method is a bit annoying...
- Thinking about going to Gimp when the main parts are done for the texturing, if I don't find any good solution to the problems above
Please tell me what you think about it, if something's wrong, etc.

Any suggestion is welcome.

C'est jolie, ça manque de brillant dans le verre du flash, mais belle evolution ;)

Your SVG skills are increasing rapidly! This is much better than anything I can do... I think I'll stick to the more abstract/minimal stuff rather than replicating real objects like this! XD

Thank you :) You know, it's not that hard, I just stared at my camera and observed some photographs and icons...still far from how it really looks though.

v5 is much better! It's now taking some semblance of reality.

Thanks for your feedback :)
What do you think of the current version ? I updated the flash and the lens, and slightly added things.

the metal parts probably need some highlights. and the shadows does seem right.
other than that I think it looks awesome!
